Guide to NYC Vintage

Popular among Williamsburg hipsters is the famous Beacon's Closet Consignment Store. Located on the corner of N 6th and Bedford Avenue, this store is what makes brooklyn hipsters look amazing. The top above is a midnight blue crepe top from theory, $64.

Cheaper Vintage Stores include No Relation Vintage located on E 12th street and first avenue. The Dress above is estimated to be around $20.

The Keffiyeh

Gingham Scarf with Gathered Fringe Detail - $7.80 Forever21.com

A keffiyeh is a cotton head dress worn by Arab men in the Middle East. Note: Arab does not mean just Palestinian terrorists (contrary to popular belief). If anyone did their research before bitching, they would know that a large percentage of Arabs are not even Muslim (Parsi, Christian, Bahai, Jewish). This contributes to the fact that many Americans are narrow-minded and bigoted human beings, like the ones who are voting for John McCain this November or don't like Barack Obama because his middle name is Hussein. Anyways, the keffiyeh has taken the hipster demographic by storm. How this happened?

My Theory: A hipster from Williamsburg wandered in the desert, known as Atlantic Avenue, for hookah or cool smelling incense. Upon going into a religious store, he thought it would be genius to buy a few keffiyehs and experiment. He found out that tying it around his neck looked cool and made him more leftist and radical than his other hipster friends.
